Maternity Photoshoot

Maternity Photography Sessions Designed for You

Maternity sessions are hands down some of my favorite things to photograph. There's nothing quite like watching a mama walk into my studio and completely light up when she sees what we've created for her.

I love making these sessions a little more artistic or edgy than your standard maternity shoot. Think dramatic lighting, creative sets, milk baths, unique props, and images that feel like fine art.

Whether you want something bold and moody or soft and dreamy, we'll plan every detail together. I have wardrobe for you to use, we'll chat about the vibe you're going for, and by the time you show up, everything is ready. All you have to do is show up and be the beautiful mama you are.

And if you want to capture your growing family before baby arrives, check out my family sessions too.

Ideal Timing for Maternity Sessions

Maternity sessions are best done between 28-34 weeks, so don't wait too long to reach out!

Ready to Book Your Maternity Session?

Common questions

  • Yes! I have wardrobe to use in all my sessions. We will go over what you're looking for before your session to see If I have something that will work with the vibe you're trying to create.

  • Sessions last between 90-2.5 hours.

  • I recommend booking around 20 weeks so we have plenty of time to plan. The actual session is best between 28 and 34 weeks when your bump is beautifully round but you're still comfortable enough to move around and have fun with it.

  • Most of my maternity sessions happen at my private studio in Cincinnati. I also love shooting outdoors at places like Devou Park, Ault Park, and Eden Park. If you have a meaningful location in mind, I'm totally open to that too. I travel to Covington, Florence, Louisville, Lexington, Columbus, and beyond.

  • Absolutely! Some of my favorite maternity images include partners, older siblings, or even the family pet. We'll plan the session so you get solo portraits plus family shots. The more the merrier.

  • I have a wardrobe of maternity gowns, bodysuits, and accessories for you to use at no extra cost. During our planning chat we'll figure out what styles and colors match the vibe you're going for. You're also welcome to bring your own outfits if you have something special in mind.

  • Yes! Milk bath sessions are one of my specialties and they pair beautifully with maternity photography. We can do a milk bath as part of your maternity session or as a standalone session. Check out my Floral and Milk Baths page for more examples.

  • Every session is different, but most maternity clients receive between 20 and 30 fully edited images in their online gallery. You'll be able to download, share, and order prints directly from the gallery. Galleries are delivered about 2 weeks after your session.

  • All of them! Every session comes with your full gallery of professionally edited images to download, print, and share however you want. No packages, no picking from proofs, no extra fees.

“I never thought I could have fun at a maternity photoshoot but, I really enjoyed myself and my family did too. Jess made us feel extremely comfortable and was super personable and just genuine. She was also very flexible as I needed to change the date of my photoshoot due to my work schedule.”
